HELP AND INFORMATION FOR FUNCTIONAL ANALYSIS

 

1. Genome Databases

Databases of genomes from different species including interactive maps to browse over.

These DBs incorporate information about all the biomolecular entities (chromosomes, gene  locus, exons, transcripts, RNAs, proteins, promoters, etc) that are present or derived from the genomic sequence. The consensus DNA sequence is the primary raw data source, which links the entire structured biological information.

These databases include links to related specialized databases that enrich the information about genes and proteins of specific organisms.


2. Proteomic tools

Site that includes a large number of tools for protein analysis.


3.Databases of gene expression microarrays

Databases that collect, manage and analyse genomic experimental datasets. They are public data repositories of thousands of samples analysed using different types of genomic platforms, mainly expression microarrays.


4. . Databases of expression in different tissues

Genome-wide expression data in various organs, tissues of cell types (human and mouse) that allow to explore the specific role of genes within the complexity of multicellular organisms (metazoan).


5. Tools for expression data analysis

Servers and software that include computational tools for statistical analysis of gene expression data obtained with microarrays.

6.Annotation tools and functional enrichment

Servers to explore with multiple entries (gene or protein lists) and find functional biological annotation and enrichment on such entries.
