BIOINFORMATICS AND NETWORK BIOLOGY:
From genomic data to profiles, networks and pathways
22,23,24 - June - 2011
Centro de Investigación del Cáncer (CiC-IBMCC, CSIC/USAL)
Salamanca, Spain
DESCRIPTION:
Practical Course on Bioinformatic tools and methods to analyse data from genomic studies, to build biomolecular profiles and networks derived and to explore pathways associated. Analyses of multiple genome-wide microarray data to detect significant changes in expression of genes, exons, miRNAs or copy number alterations. Critical steps to achieve robust data annotation and functional enrichment analyses. First steps for Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) data anlaysis and comparison with microarrays. Use of tools to
unravel the biological information enclosed in selected gene lists, to build networks derived and to explore
biological pathways associated. Analysis of molecular interactions using PSIMEx databases and tools.
